Likhang HABI Kalayaan Online Fair gathers some of the most respected Filipino personalities to lead free, special live discussions on Filipino heritage and culture and why we should love and buy local, as HABI: The Philippine Textile Council holds another fair where patrons can enjoy more shopping finds on June 12-20, 2021 at shophabifair.com.

Streaming live over at @HABIPhilippineTextileCouncil on Facebook and HABI Philippine Textile Council on YouTube, these online talks complement the selection of hand-woven and handcrafted, sustainable and ethical fashion and lifestyle products that are carefully curated to encourage us to weave local into our new normal.

Philippine fashion icon Ditta Sandico who is known for using banaca (a mix of banana and abaca fibers) and Mangyan weaves in her creations and her style director Raymond Villanueva give an insider peek into the state of the local fashion industry amid the pandemic and the impactful roles of fashionistas in these difficult times with SALE A VIE on June 13, 5PM.

Pet parents surely want to catch certified dog behavior specialist Jennie Fajardo Peres of Pup Culture as she talks about keeping our furry friends health and well with Dog Care Throughout their Life Stages on June 17, 11AM. Then, popular comic artist Manix Abrera takes audiences through a discussion on the effects of the pandemic on local comics with Bulwagan ng Misteryo! Mga Kwentong Komix ngayong New Normal! happening on June 18, 3PM.

Aside from live talks, Likhang HABI Kalayaan Online Fair also shares edutainment videos. These include a video from crafty and quirky accessories maker Knitting Expedition on June 13; and a special video on Kalinga’s world-renowned mambabatok Whang-Od from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and a spotlight on Intramuros and featured brands like bamboo bicycle makers Bambike and handicraft store The Manila Collectible Co on June 15. On the same day, Silahis Center founder Bob Lane shares the antique shop’s crafts while his son Miguel Lane gives a store gallery tour and shows why it’s a must-visit whenever we’re in Intramuros.
