Charming and Empowering Singer-Songwriter TALA Launches Her Debut EP

The 18 year-old singer-songwriter TALA Gil launches her self-titled debut E.P. "TALA" last April 13, 2018 (Friday) at Unit 27 Apartment Bar + Cafe, Citywalk Eastwood City, Quezon City.

TALA, grew up in a household filled with musical influences. Her father Dan is a part of the OPM band Chillitees, while her cousin Nikki has long been a name in the music, theater and entertainment industry. TALA is now ready to make her own name in the industry as she releases her debut EP, with songs that she wrote and performed herself.

TALA proudly presents her five-track debut EP following the successes of her first three singles -- her debut single "Nothing Personal" peaked at number 8 on the Spotify Philippines Viral 50 Chart, and was a constant chart topper on Monster RX 93.1's The Countdown Top 20 for three months, with her latest singles reaching a global audience. "Bruised" entered the Spotify Malaysia Viral 50 Chart, while "Boy" reached number 26 on the iTunes Top 200 tracks in Panama. Rounding up her EP are fresh tracks "Walk Away" and "Amber." The EP, which was released on March 23, 2018, has already entered various iTunes charts, including Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Philippines as well.

With sonic inspirations from artists such as Yuna, Tom Misch, June Marieezy, Corrine Bailey Rae, Frank Ocean, and Norah Jones, incorporated with youthful emotions of love, heartaches, and female empowerment, audiences are sure to find grooves and beats to chill to and resonate with in TALA's music.

Also making its world premiere at the EP launch is the music video for one of TALA's latest singles, "Bruised," directed by Breech Quincy.

TALA's self-titled debut EP, featuring her singles "Nothing Personal," "Boy," and "Bruised," along with two new tracks, is already available on iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon, and Spotify.
