Manila Symphony Orchestra’s 2nd Season Concert "Guest Experience" on August 5 and 6, 2017

Leadership and Creativity is alive in the Philippines in Manila Symphony Orchestra’s second Season Concert on August 5 and 6, 2017.

Titled Guest Experience: Iskandar Widjaja, catch the MSO with back-to-back performances on August 5 at 8 pm in Henry Lee Irwin Theater in Ateneo de Manila in Loyola Heights, Quezon City, and a repeat on Sunday, August 6 at 6 pm in Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati.

The 55-piece orchestra will be under guest conductor Maestro Darrell Ang from Singapore, and performs Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No.8 (the composer’s most beloved after The New World, Symphony No.9), and Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole featuring the youthful and imaginative German-Indonesian violinist Iskandar Widjaja.

Leadership and Creativity go hand in hand as we feature the world premiere of a composition by Filipino composer Nilo Alcala, the second of a series of compositions commissioned by MSO to draw Filipino composers and Filipino listeners together.
