Evidence of a music track gaining traction is seen when it is being re-recorded in another language. Singaporean singer and songwriter, Zadon has had his track, ‘Adios’ adapted to English.

Akasha, Zadon with Inigo

Filipino singer and actor, Iñigo Pascual collaborated with Singaporean rapper, Akasha for the new version. The chemistry between the two is inevitably dynamic as shown in their freshly released music video. It has a fun and upbeat tune which primarily talks about bidding the unhealthy romantic relationship between a lover and his lady farewell.

The English track was reproduced by Jonathan Manalo from Star Music with lyrics originally written in Mandarin. He thought of localising Zadon’s single in the Philippines and added a new part for Akasha, a talent from the Academy of Rock Singapore.

According to Zadon, “It was nice catching up with Iñigo again. They (referring to Iñigo Pascual and Jonathan Manolo) are such nice people and it was my honour working with them.”

‘Adios’  is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and other digital stores online. The press conference by ABS-CBN was held on September 10, 2019 in Manila.
