2019 is poised to be a bigger year for Janah. With the release of her very first English song, “More Than That”, written and produced by award-winning record producer Paulo Zarate, Janah is set to conquer bigger audience. “I want to release an English song this time so that I can reach out to other territories and hopefully they can enjoy my music too”, says Janah.

Janah Zaplan launched her latest single and video “More That That” on July 6 at the Farmers Plaza, Araneta Center in Quezon City.

As Pinoy Sandbox’ Ichu Isla (Sai Ai-land) reviews : “For a baby boomer, the melody is unique to my old "ear" of music. As the song goes on, it is easy to distinguish every detail the music has. Janah, the artist who sang More Than That, has a very good and unique voice with just a pinch of Dua Lipa but not quite, really a style of her own. The song gives inspiration and the message - self love and self-confidence, that you are better despite the things that you have done wrongly. The song is also in touch with the millennials and very trendy in terms of arrangement. I truly recommend the song, not just because of her angelic face and her quality of voice but the music truly has a message that everyone can relate to especially those people who are down and lack self-confidence or for those who think that no one loves them. More Than That can be a comfort song for everyone and relaxing as well when you are on a road trip, lounging, or whatever, take that from my son who actually loved the song and kept playing it until the batteries went dead.”

2018 was a banner year for 17 year old rising star of OPM, Janah Zaplan. With the release of not just one, but two singles, “Di Ko Na Kaya” & “Mahal Na Kita” distributed digitally by Ivory Music & Video in YouTube channel also via digital music distribution thru online platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and AmazonMP3. Janah proves that she has emerged as a serious artist in the local music scene, as she performed in the 1st Catwalk Philippines’ Finals, Aliw Awards night and as a Featured New Artist in Wish 107.5 Bus at SM by the Bay, with the lead band Aegis.

At such a young age, Janah is already an Aliw Awardee as Best New Female Artist 2018 and Star Awards for Music 2018 Nominee as New Female Recording Artist of the Year.  She headlined her first major concert at the Music Museum. Also, she performed on stage alongside some of today’s popular young artists such as Ylona Garcia, Sharlene San Pedro, AC Bonifacio, Ms. Dulce, Jeremiah, Side A, boy band Upgrade and more.

More Than That is Janah’s gift to her fans, as she celebrates her birthday, the  music video will be officially launched on July 7 in all digital platforms.

In Janah’s own words, "More Than That” is a song that inspires people to show who they really are, that we are more than what they all know. May ibubuga pa at hindi lang kami basta-basta gumagaya sa iba. We have our own version of ourselves and we are beautiful just the way we are.” Aside from being a song written in English, “More Than That” boasts of contemporary pop arrangement with that infectious beat and hook that will surely capture today’s music enthusiasts. Vocally, Janah showcases her immense ability not just in ballads but also in beat-laden songs.

“All I want to say po for everyone who's supporting me is thank you thank you thank you sa lahat ng support, care and love na binibigay nila sa ‘kin, kasi kung wala rin po sila, wala rin po ako dito, kaya ayun po sana di sila magsawa sa akin. “More Than That” is available in Spotify, Youtube, Amazon, Apple Music, so I hope you will download it and like it.”

Now available on digital format worldwide, “More Than That” will surely catapult Janah Zaplan into greater heights, proving that she is the country’s Millennial Pop Princess.
