EVENT DESCRIPTION

COURSE OVERVIEW

As members of organization, we are always confronted with various communication activities that require us

to write or speak to our target audience. However, we are sometimes unaware of how we use language

accurately and appropriately. And when we commit mistakes, it is the reality that we are being judged by the

people around us.

Fortunately, GRAMMAR FIRST is being offered. In this one-day seminar-workshop, you will learn the

rudiments and master tips in using correct grammar in any communicative activities. Specifically, this

program is tailor fit to the needs of professionals. It features language games, which make language learning

more enjoyable, provides interactive communication with focus on four macroskills: listening, speaking,

reading, and writing, and offers highly flexible tasks that can address students with different proficiency level.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the seminar-workshop, participants would be able to:

• Use correct grammar in preparing business communication such as letters, memos, and emails.

• Use correct spelling, punctuation, and capitalization in business communication.

• Avoid the use of Filipinoism.

• Edit business communication outputs for accuracy.

METHODOLOGY AND FRAMEWORK

This seminar-workshop is anchored on interactive and experiential approaches that allow the participants to

engage in hands-on activities or workshop, group discussion, and collaborative activities. These approaches

also put emphasis on transforming knowledge into practice, process, learning skills, self-discovery, and social

and communication skills. As such, it views participants as active learners and not passive listeners. Regarding

evaluation, these approaches use process-oriented assessment which includes reflection of process, self-assessment, and criterion-referencing. Finally, multimedia technology shall be used during presentation and

demonstration for a more dynamic delivery.
