The Theater Arts Program of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde will be
staging a performance of “CADAVER”, written by the late Alberto S.
Florentino and directed by Kyle Confesor. It is a one-act play with
three leads, performed in English. The story revolves around Torio and
his companions Carding and Marina; marginalized Filipinos in a struggle
to live while residing in a city cemetery. In such grim conditions, how
far would a person go to survive?
The play deals with a poignant social truth: that no matter the
circumstances, man is responsible for the consequences of his actions.
Cadaver will run from 7pm on the 24th of July 2019 and will have 1pm and
7pm shows on the 25th to the 27th at the 6/F Black Box of the Benilde
School of Design and Arts. It will be the debut of Teatro 77, the
production company of DLS-CSB Theater Arts Batch 2017. The cast includes
Julia Enriquez, Elijah Castillo, Ioel Briliones, and Alexandria
