7TH EMERGING LEADERS CONFERENCE
EVENT #: 41936
The 7th Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC) is an Asia Pacific conference by the World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) and the University of the Philippines Centre International de Formation des Autorites et Leaders (UP CIFAL).
It is a platform for young individuals to learn about the salient issues of today and to know how to become purposeful individuals who can defend the dignity of every person. Through a variety of talks, workshops, and interactive activities, participants have the opportunity to learn from engaging speakers and to build networks and friendships with youth from the Asia Pacific region.
Grounded on the idea that every person has inherent dignity, the 7th ELC will focus on three core areas:
1. Mental and emotional well-being
2. Physical well-being and bioethics, and
3. Health and the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly: road safety and women's health.
The ELC aims to prod the youth toward assessing how their daily actions and decisions affect their overall well-being, and how their decisions affect others. The conference has been implemented since 2012, covering topics related to Sustainable Development, the Family, Health and Education, Environment and Technology, and Migration and Development.
The ELC is open to youth ages 14 to 24 (high school to young professionals), residing in Asia Pacific countries. We will be selecting around 200 participants for the 7th ELC.
